Grown ups 2 review11/19/2022 ![]() Sandler always invites his friends, including the current SNL members, to his parties, and that's what I respect about the man, he's all about his friends. And yes, I can watch Salma Hayek in any movie she's in. ![]() And luckily it's also not as vulgar and pointless as That's My Boy, because GROWN UPS 2 is also about family and about appreciating the gems of growing old, as long as you grow old with the people you care about. This is not for the sensitive or the easily offended. And there'll be challenge to a fight, you know you can't have a Sandler movie without somebody giving and taking a beating, and these guys would come up with the funniest pranks just to kill time at the expense of each other's physical condition, and so all that and more are the reason why I or anyone would want to watch GROWN UPS 2. And I don't think it's bullying, it's not homophobes either, 'cause most times they're laughing WITH, not AT each other.Īnd if you notice, they'd have their friends play supporting roles in either the jerks or the good underdogs and that they would switch roles in other Sandler movies that they're in. Sandler, Spade, James, and Rock are all comedians, most of the guys in these movies are and their brand of comedy is about making fun of each other. And those tweens out there get Taylor Lautner who in this movie plays a completely different character than the Jacob they adore. Too bad Rob Schneider is not part of this sequel, that little punk would make our laughter go extra hard. It's great to see Sandler's old posse again, this show's got everyone, from Colin Quinn, Cheri Oteri, Jon Lovitz, to folks like Steve Buscemi, Nick Swardson and that crazy-eyed dude. GROWN UPS is made by the same guys who brought us Sandler's movies over the years, the guys over at Happy Madison, so if you're not a fan of Waterboy, Anger Management, Billy Madison, then this is not your cup of tea, so just go somewhere and drink actual tea. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school. ![]() Lenny (Adam Sandler) has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. ![]() After such horrendous tortures as Jack And Jill and That's My Boy, it's good to have something like GROWN UPS franchise to remind us that Adam Sander was once and can still be funny when he focuses on just being funny. I had a blast watching the first movie and I had a blast watching this sequel too and I'll tell ya why, because it's just about Adam Sandler and his old friends getting back together, this is their one big happy reunion, to play pranks on each other, to crank up their usual slapstick and physical hurt and sex jokes, this is just a bunch of guys having fun and you can bet your ass they don't give a rip if you like their movie or not. So much hate out there, if you look left and right all over the place, reviews on the web and print, fans and critics alike hating GROWN UPS 2 to the core, calling it worse than the first film, headache inducing and all kinds of other crude words and ya know what, I don't blame them. ![]()
